Presence & the special moments Langhoff & Juul started 12 years ago, as a counter-reaction to the turbo society that dominated the worldview. Jonas Langhoff wanted to create a place with space for people. A place where it wasn't about profit on the bottom line. A place that doesn't prey on the people who have to perform. The visions back then are still the same today - to be the place that respects the time we have, and to be the place where that time can be enjoyed with one's close relationships.

The meeting between idealism & realism

Jonas Langhoff has spent the last 15 years working with concept development and entrepreneurship in a 360-degree perspective. The last 10 years he has focused on business solutions and companies that are both morally responsible and commercial. Today he runs Langhoff & Juul Boutique Hotel in Ebeltoft and Langhoff & Juul Restaurant in Guldsmedgade in Aarhus.

The valuable time

This is not to sound moralistic, but time is one of the most valuable things we have. At Langhoff & Juul, the time we spend “exploring” different new producers is at the expense of something else. For us, it is a question of more than just cooking. It is a desire to bring time to a sustainable life as authentically as possible and in harmony with the country we live in and the planet we live on.

Our belief is that everything that creates value and authenticity needs time as an essential capital. Whether it's the people we love, the animals in the fields or the crops in the soil - they all need time to live, grow and develop into a healthy and present experience.

Sustainability is the essence of our existence

Sustainability is the essence of our existence. Sustainability has been built into our company's values ​​and strategies since the beginning in 2012. It is everything we strive for and a definition of what we do - in every aspect of the word. Sustainability for nature, social sustainability by creating a culture where everyone is welcome and where there is room for everyone through a vibrant restaurant and hotel.

The thoughts about time and sustainability are based on a deep-rooted care for everything around us. This is expressed as consideration for nature, each other, our guests and those who form the backbone of our production - the small Danish farmers, producers and designers, those who bring soul and color to the original.

Modern ambitious cooking

We are a place with a clear vision to transform the Danish restaurant and hotel scene through sustainable food, aesthetics, high quality and an atmosphere of time and presence. We focus on modern ambitious cooking rooted in traditions from Nordic and French cuisine. We work very closely with local farmers and producers to capture the feeling of the time and care with which the ingredients are grown.

Alternatives are my drive

Alternatives to system thinking, overconsumption and fear are what drive me. I want to find better and healthier ways to approach life, not only in business but also in human terms. That is why time is such a crucial pivot point and fundamental concept for me personally and at Langhoff & Juul.

Most people wish they had more time for everything in general. It creates enormous pressure and many expectations of themselves, which results in rushing through most things and still having a deficit of time. I simply don't want that. Time and what we do with it are too important. There has to be a balance and a desire in what we do. It requires an awareness of some very clear choices and opt-outs and respecting the decisions you make.

The eternal dilemma

I have chosen that Langhoff & Juul should be a place with time for both our guests and our staff. At the same time, there is also an eternal dilemma. Sometimes I would like something to go faster. With respect for each other's differences and nature, things take the time they take. The greatest joy is found in experiencing that things are done properly. The alternative is not a profitable option and does not align with my ideology.

Respect for nature as our home

We are very careful when selecting and collaborating with others. It is crucial that they share our values ​​of choosing locally and sustainably. We closely follow the seasons and the natural cycles of the environment. We also expect the same from our partners. Therefore, Yrolí is a natural choice, as we share these values ​​and respect for nature as our home.

My skincare routine I end my day with a face wash, some days followed by Facial Scrub , and then Face Oil from Yrolí. I like to go to bed with clean feet, so they also get a little wash in the evening. My morning routine is very simple - a bath - that's it.
	Yrolí's favorite product My ultimate favorite product is Yrolís Hand Sanitizer ! I use it 5-8 times a day. It has a nice scent and doesn't dry out my hands, it's delicious. Yrolís Face Oil also works well, I use that daily too.
