Lobbying Policy

LOBBYING POLICY
Yrolí works with political advocacy and collective action as an integral part of our responsibility as a B Corp. We recognise that companies play an important role in shaping the frameworks we all operate within, and that our influence on legislation, regulation and public debate must be responsible, transparent and directed towards social and environmental progress. We therefore commit to using lobbying and public affairs to promote policies that support a more inclusive, just and regenerative economy – never to undermine it.
Principles for Responsible Lobbying
When we engage in dialogues, collaborations or industry communities with relevance to legislation or political decisions, we do so with a foundation in our purpose of restoring trust in the natural – in skin, in everyday life and in the world – and in accordance with our values of responsibility and transparency. Furthermore, we will only engage in activities that contribute to positive social and environmental development, in line with the B Corp standards and B Lab's Theory of Change and relevant international frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
When Yrolí participates in dialogues with political relevance, we commit to:
- Acting with integrity, transparency and accountability
- Basing our views on reliable, relevant and, where possible, scientifically founded data
- Being clear about our positions and intentions
In practice, this means that we always engage in collaborations and dialogues with a foundation in our purpose and values. All relevant collaborations and engagements are continuously assessed and approved by the executive management. We strive for openness about our engagement in activities with political relevance, so when we engage in lobbying or advocacy activities, we will disclose:
- The key political themes and positions we work with
- Relevant memberships of organisations that advocate on our behalf
- Any political contributions – or confirm if none have been made
Political Engagement and Contributions
Yrolí does not make financial or in-kind contributions to political parties or campaigns. We do not participate in activities involving bribery, corruption or undue influence, and we always comply with applicable legislation on political engagement and anti-corruption.
Collaboration with Industry Organizations and Other Stakeholders
Yrolí is a member of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). As a member, we follow DI's general framework, but we always assess whether DI's political positions are consistent with our own values and our commitment as a B Corp. Where DI's positions do not align with Yrolí's stance, we communicate our own position clearly and work to ensure that our membership contributes to more responsible business policy.
Yrolí is not currently a member of or collaborating with other organisations working on topics related to our business. When such organisations engage in activities with political relevance, we continuously assess whether their positions are in line with this policy.
If a partner takes positions that are not in line with our approach, we will:
- Clarify our own position publicly clarify our own position
- Work to influence the organisation in a more responsible direction
- Be open about differences in viewpoints
Yrolí operates with clear "red lines". If an organisation persistently works against our fundamental principles of responsibility, we will end the collaboration.
Operationalization and Handling of Non-Compliance
Yrolí's approach to lobbying is approved by the company's senior management, which also holds overall responsibility for ensuring compliance. The policy is reviewed at least once annually. The executive management is responsible for ensuring awareness of this policy among relevant employees and continuously assesses the risk of policy breaches. In the event of suspected or confirmed breaches, a specific assessment is carried out, a dialogue is held with those involved, and adjustments are made to collaborations and internal procedures as needed. The outcome is used in the annual review of the policy.
This policy and any engagements are publicly available on our website. Through the complaints mechanism, stakeholders can raise concerns about our conduct. All enquiries are treated confidentially and without risk of retaliation.
Current Initiatives That May Be Considered Lobbying
Yrolí does not currently conduct lobbying as a standalone discipline or make financial or political contributions. Should this change, we will update this policy and disclose our approach, positions and any contributions.
However, Yrolí does engage in dialogues, collaborations or industry communities with relevance to legislation or political decisions, specifically collaborating with selected NGOs through collective efforts that advance our purpose.
In 2026, we are participating in lobbying facilitated by the organisation Stop Ecocide, an effort directed at dialogue with political decision-makers on legislation or regulation aimed at establishing rights for nature through the introduction of ecocide legislation. We are co-signatories of an appeal to politicians that has been published in the Danish newspaper Information, and we actively communicate the message to our followers through newsletters, social media and other channels. This form of advocacy through collective action is the type of lobbying that Yrolí wants to actively participate in when it aims for positive social and environmental impact, as here with rights for nature, and takes place through collective initiatives with recognised NGO coalitions and other responsible companies.
