Our potent and effective ingredients fit our values and match the quality that defines Yrolí Skincare.

Research and development into natural ingredients with clinically proven effects enables us to create effective and efficient skin care based on natural ingredients. We have specially selected microalgae, oils and extracts from Nordic berries, as well as two African oils; baobab and marula. All of our signature ingredients have clinically proven effects.

The choice and composition of ingredients play a key role in skincare. We have chosen our ingredients with a clear objective in mind:

  • The best quality and with clinically documented effects.
  • Our ingredients are organic, wild harvest and/or natural.
  • Our ingredients reflect our Nordic nature.
  • We want to respect the biodiversity where our ingredients are grown, and we want to avoid ingredients from endangered areas such as the rainforest.
  • We want ingredients from productions where gender equality, fair wages, social rights and worker safety are high priorities.
  • Our ingredients are, to the greatest extent possible, ECOCERT COSMOS ORGANIC certified.

Quality

Due to our ECOCERT COSMOS certification, we can trace the ingredients all the way back to the individual field where the fruit/algae/nut etc. was grown. We choose the ingredients based on their unique properties, which is crucial for the quality of our skincare products. All of our ingredients have an exceptionally high level of vitamins and essential fatty acids. In addition, they have complementary molecular sizes, which means that the final skincare product can penetrate both the outermost layer of the skin (epidermis) and the middle layer (dermis). This means that Yrolí Skincare has an effect in several layers of the skin.

Nature

Our ingredients are natural. They are grown, harvested and produced with consideration for how it affects the local and global environment. Oils and extracts from Nordic berries; bilberry seed oil, raspberry seed oil and cloudberry extract are grown and harvested in the purest natural environments in Lapland, Finland. This is what we call wild harvest. Baobab oil and marula oil are grown in Africa on well-established farms that are ECOCERT COSMOS certified. All of our signature ingredients contribute to good biodiversity and diversity, which benefits us all.

Social conditions

Baobab oil and marula oil come from Africa, where the oils have been used for skin care for centuries. The trees grow very old, and because they have great value, they are appreciated by the local community. The fruits are harvested and the seeds are cold pressed. Defining the whole process are the good social conditions, which means that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is respected, and there is equal pay and social rights for everyone.

The Nordic berries are harvested and produced in Lapland, Finland. Our supplier is a market leader in Arctic oils and our guarantee of quality in all areas.

Consistency

Our products are composed of more than 98% natural ingredients. The fact that an ingredient is of natural origin means that it is almost taken directly from nature and has only undergone a very simple purification before being used as a building block in the finished product. The fact that each ingredient only undergoes simple processing also means that the ingredients from production to production may differ slightly in composition. This is reflected in the fact that products with such a high content of natural ingredients may vary slightly in both consistency, color and scent from production to production. This is completely natural, and each product is, before it comes to the market, assessed as safe for use by humans, where these variations are also taken into account in the assessment.

Essential oils

The use of essential oils in skincare has a long history, thanks to their natural and aromatic properties. These oils, extracted from various plants and fruits, not only add a pleasant scent to skincare products, but also bring a wide range of benefits. However, it is important to consider carefully how they are used. We incorporate carefully selected essential oils into many of our products to add natural well-being and effect. Our approach focuses on precise dosing to avoid overloading and maintain the skin's natural balance.

Our essential oils are chosen not only for their potential benefits, but also for their certified quality. They meet Ecocert Cosmos standards, guaranteeing sustainability and environmental responsibility. We prioritize your skin and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Essential oils add a natural scent and aromatherapy properties to your skincare routine, creating a relaxing atmosphere during use. Some of these oils have soothing properties that soothe irritation, moisturize the skin, and leave it smooth and hydrated. Additionally, many essential oils contain antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals and premature aging. Some oils even have natural antibacterial properties that can help fight acne and other skin infections.

However, there are potential drawbacks to consider. Some people may experience sensitivity to essential oils and develop irritation or allergic reactions. Therefore, we recommend a patch test for those with very sensitive skin. The quality of essential oils varies, emphasizing the importance of choosing high-quality products to achieve the desired benefits.
