The lymphatic system

YOUR SKIN CAN DO MORE WHEN THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM IS SUPPORTED
The lymphatic system is the body's internal cleansing system. Through a network of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes, waste products and excess fluid are transported away from tissues and cells. To ensure a well-functioning flow in the lymphatic system, stimulation is necessary.
Lack of flow in the lymphatic system leads to edema (fluid accumulation) and sluggish tissue functioning. The skin, especially on the face, experiences reduced nutrient supply, reduced collagen production and less optimal conditions. A well-functioning lymphatic system promotes:
- Removal of waste products
- Improved circulation and nutrient absorption
- Less fluid retention – e.g. under the eyes and along the jawline
- Increased glow and vitality in the skin
- A more defined jawline

SKINCARE BEGINS UNDER THE SKIN
The skin is the body’s largest organ – and it is directly affected by what happens in the tissue beneath it. When the lymphatic system functions efficiently, the skin is better able to absorb nutrients and release waste products. The results are not only visible, but also noticeable:
- Skin appears clearer and more vibrant
- Swelling and stagnation are reduced
- The skin's own balance is strengthened
- Tension and discomfort are reduced
A SIMPLE RITUAL WITH DOCUMENTED EFFECTS
With the patented lymphatic brushes and light, rhythmic strokes, the lymphatic flow is stimulated. The method is based on techniques from manual lymphatic drainage, and has been used for many years in therapeutic contexts.
At Yrolí, we have chosen to work with lymphatic brushes developed by American lymphatic therapist Cecily Braden – a tool that fits naturally into our approach to skincare: calm, effective and without unnecessary technology.
The brushes:
- Activates the skin's microcirculation
- Supports the body's natural drainage processes
- Has a calming effect on the nervous system
- Provides a feeling of lightness, clarity and balance
- Increases the effectiveness of your skincare products due to increased flow and absorption

WHAT MAKES OUR BRUSHES SPECIAL?
There are many brushes on the market – but few are designed specifically for lymphatic drainage. Most facial brushes are either too coarse, too stiff or designed with a focus on exfoliation and blood circulation. Our brushes, on the other hand, are designed to mimic the hands of a professional lymphatic therapist:
- The bristles are ultra-fine and flexible, so they glide gently over the skin without causing friction or irritation.
- The shape and density ensure that the strokes activate the lymphatic system without overstimulating the skin.
- Developed by Cecily Braden – a recognized pioneer in lymphatic drainage.
The result is a tool that not only feels good – but works effectively and with respect for the skin's structure and rhythm. See the brushes here

A small effort with a big impact |
2-3 MINUTES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We recommend that you use the brushes on dry, cleansed skin – preferably in the morning/evening – with very light strokes in the direction of the natural lymphatic flow:
- Towards the centre of the body
- Towards lymph nodes (by ears, neck, collarbone) in the face
A session takes just a few minutes, and you will quickly feel the effect – not only in your skin, but throughout your body.
The small brush
Use around the eyes, along the cheekbones and jawline, at the bridge of the nose and eyebrows.
The big brush
Use on neck, forehead, chest, arms, stomach and legs.
DEVELOPED WITH RESPECT FOR THE SKIN – AND THE EARTH
The brushes feature vegan, skin-friendly fibers and recycled plastic handles (for increased durability). They are created for professional use, but designed to be safe and intuitive to use at home.
We have opted out of animal hair and electronics – and chosen materials that respect both the skin and the world we are a part of.
A TOOL IN LINE WITH OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Yrolí, we work with skincare that strengthens the skin's own functions. We believe in true balance and self-regulation – and in tools that create calm rather than disruption. Lymphatic drainage is a practice that goes beyond cosmetics. It strengthens the connection between body and skin, and is a quiet ritual that both nourishes, supports prevention and encourages presence.
It's skincare in its purest form – without the fuss, but with visible results. And you'll feel it after the first stroke. See the brushes here
