Human Rights

COMMITMENT TO HUMAN RIGHTS & JEDI

At Yrolí, we strive to act responsibly both in our day-to-day operations and in the future development of our company. Respect for human rights as well as justice, equity, diversity and inclusion is an integral part of our purpose and guides our decisions about the customers, projects and partners we work with. We therefore commit to actively working with justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) and to respecting human rights for all individuals and communities affected by our activities and value chain – and to working systematically and dedicatedly with due diligence.

Commitment to Human Rights

We align our approach with internationally recognised standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights (and the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

This commitment applies to all people associated with our business, including our own employees, customers, partners, suppliers, and the local communities where we operate – regardless of geographical location.

We will fulfil our commitment to human rights by integrating sustainability due diligence into our operations based on the above internationally recognised principles. This encompasses human rights, labour rights, the environment (both climate and biodiversity) and anti-corruption. As part of our due diligence efforts, we will conduct a risk mapping across our entire value chain and assess where we as a company have the most significant actual or potential adverse impacts on people, the environment and society. In implementing due diligence, we will engage our suppliers and other relevant organisations and stakeholders to gain insight, feedback and support in preventing and mitigating risks.

We seek to prevent, mitigate and remedy adverse human rights impacts associated with our activities, products, services and business relationships. This includes, among other things, that we:

  • Ensure decent and safe working conditions, free from discrimination, harassment and abuse
  • Respect freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, where applicable
  • Avoid complicity in human rights violations in our value chain and business relationships
  • Listen and respond to concerns raised by workers, customers, communities and other stakeholders

JEDI Commitment

We recognise that our decisions – even as a micro-enterprise – can affect people in our own organisation, among our business partners and throughout our value chain. We therefore commit to actively working with JEDI as an integral part of our approach to human rights.

Our JEDI commitment means that we will:

  • Act against discrimination and systemic inequalities and treat all people with dignity and respect – regardless of background, identity or affiliation
  • Create inclusive and safe working environments and collaborations where perspectives are heard and taken seriously
  • Involve relevant stakeholders (employees, partners, suppliers and others) and use their feedback when selecting and developing our JEDI initiatives
  • Review key policies and practices through a JEDI and human rights lens and update them where they create barriers or inequality.

This commitment applies to all individuals and communities affected by Yrolí's activities and value chain, and will be continuously translated into concrete goals and actions that we follow up on and improve over time.

Approval, transparency and follow-up

This commitment to human rights and JEDI has been approved by the owners and is publicly available on our website as well as communicated both internally and externally. We will periodically – at least every 36 months – review this commitment and the associated practices to ensure they remain aligned with developments in human rights expectations and standards.
