In a world that constantly presents us with a sea of opportunities and choices, Rigetta Klint makes her choices based on the desire to contribute to a more sustainable world and inspire a more balanced life. Rigetta is driven to act and contribute where she can.
With the print book magazine HÅNDVÆRK, Rigetta wants to increase awareness of and respect for materials and craftsmanship. In words and images, she conveys a more sustainable and long-term design and craftsmanship practice that will drive the reader's desire for change. Rigetta is concerned with how our choices and omissions, both professionally and privately, define our life journey, and how one can live a healthy life with the absence of quantity and the choice of quality.

Health leads to beautyRigetta Klint is a professional communicator with a passion for aesthetics and quality. In her communication, she draws on her many years of work, first as a practicing craftsman and designer, then as a writer and photographer. Rigetta is behind the online platform haandvaerkbookazine.com and the print bookazine HÅNDVÆRK, which is published biannually in Danish and English and distributed in over 20 countries. The acquaintance between Yrolí and Rigetta Klint goes back several years and is based on mutual respect, the appreciation of a balanced life, a responsible mindset, a desire for less consumption, and the appreciation of quality and solid craftsmanship. Rigetta Klint also shares Yrolí's holistic skincare philosophy, which is based on health, has an environmental approach to skincare and is formulated with natural and easily biodegradable ingredients. “If we talk about beauty as in beauty care, then the word or concept of beauty in my book is synonymous with health. I eat healthy, exercise, prioritize sleep and I choose skin and hair care products that nourish and are free of harmful ingredients.” – Rigetta Klint |
People who can do something, know something and want something
Rigetta is always interested in people who can do something, know something and want something. When she has to choose who will appear in HÅNDVÆRK, she therefore chooses the people or companies in question to be both interesting in themselves, but also have something general to contribute.

Skincare that doesn't just benefit the skin
“A good example is Yrolí, who can do something, knows something and wants something. Their goal is to develop skin care that is beneficial for the skin, but also skin care that is beneficial for those who grow the raw materials that become ingredients. They also focus on ensuring that production, transport and packaging have the least possible environmental impact. In order to have concrete goals to work towards, they have chosen to become Ecocert Cosmos and Vegan certified, AllergyCertified and the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Yrolí's packaging is minimized as much as possible, they have no outer packaging and are made of recycled plastic and glass that can be recycled. ” – Rigetta Klint, clipping from HÅNDVÆRK bookazine no. 8.

If you can't see the beauty, then look better.
For Rigetta Klint, beauty in a larger context is defined by seeing the big in the small, as she expresses through a paraphrased Paul Smith quote: " If you can't see the beauty, then look harder ."
We need to talk about resources, not materials.
Rigetta sees her life as full of choices, but her choices have changed over time. Many years ago she worked as a designer in the clothing industry, and back then people talked about materials. Materials were natural resources plus energy consumption and manpower. In Rigetta's case, the materials were, without a doubt, of high quality and thus both long-lasting and worthwhile. When Rigetta wrote HÅNDVÆRK bookazine no. 7 under the theme of "resources", she couldn't help but reflect on how her perspective had changed.
My attitude towards almost all consumption has changed.
“It doesn’t change the fact that my perspective was the long-term durability of the product in relation to its selling price and not in relation to the price the earth paid for its production. By looking at things from a different perspective, by talking about resources instead of materials, I have discovered that my attitude towards almost all consumption is changing. I have become more aware and today make different choices and opt-outs.” – Rigetta Klint
Change requires desire and courageCRAFTSMANSHIP bookazine was created to take the perspective of the craftsman, the craft and the material. CRAFTSMANSHIP bookazine focuses both on the craft itself and on craft as a prerequisite for architecture, art, fashion and interior design and for a good meal. “With HÅNDVÆRK, I believe that the closest shortcut to a sustainable and long-term practice is through knowledge of, and respect for, materials and craftsmanship. I believe, or I am tempted to say that I know, that change is driven by desire. HÅNDVÆRK’s raison d’être is that, according to readers, it gives desire (and courage).” – Rigetta Klint |
