Advent calendar door no. 1

Welcome to the most empowering advent calendar of the year! Today we open the first door, and we start with something that is both simple and effective: a walking meditation.

Go and be present.

Take a step out into the world, whether you walk in the quiet nature of the forest or along the city streets. Listen to the guided walking meditation, which lasts 15 minutes. It is available both with and without music, so you can choose the version that suits you best. You can easily walk longer than the 15 minutes if that suits you.

Flexibility and freedom
Maybe you have a busy first Sunday of Advent, or maybe you choose to use the walking meditation on another day. Either way, we hope you will enjoy your time to yourself and take a critical step towards taking care of both your body and mind.

Love, Team Yrolí 💙

More about walking meditation

Walking meditations originate from mindfulness and combine rhythmic movement with attention to the present moment. Unlike sitting meditation, walking meditation is more dynamic and engaging – bringing you closer to nature, or perhaps a loved one with whom you are walking. Walking meditation can be used to find peace, move the body gently, or strengthen the connection between body and mind. This is especially good for those with stress or chronic illnesses.

Good advice

  • Make sure to go to a safe place so you can be aware of your surroundings.
  • Remember to check the surroundings for any obstacles on the road.
  • Choose comfortable clothing and footwear that is appropriate for your environment.
  • Find your own pace: try slowing down if you usually walk fast, or walk a little faster if you tend to walk slowly.
  • Drink water before, during and after your walking meditation – it's good for your body and skin!

Red thread for healthy skin

Healthy skin is not just a result of the products you use, but also of the way you care for your body in general. It’s about creating a balance that respects the skin’s natural processes and supports its needs. This starts with choosing products that work in harmony with the skin and its functions. But that’s only the first step. The next step towards healthy skin is to engage the body in activities that promote its vitality and strengthen its natural defenses.

When you walk, you stimulate blood circulation, which increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to all the cells of the body, including the skin cells. This increased blood flow not only helps nourish the skin, but also promotes cell renewal, which is essential for healthy and vital skin. In addition, if you swing your arms, you activate your lymphatic system, which is essential for eliminating waste products and toxins from the body. The lymphatic system helps cleanse the body and strengthen the immune system, creating a healthy internal environment for the skin.

Walking meditation allows you to integrate mindfulness into your daily routine. When you practice mindfulness while walking, you strengthen your ability to focus on the present moment, creating a mental calm that can reduce stress. Stress is one of the biggest factors that negatively affects skin health, as it can lead to inflammation and imbalance in the skin. By finding inner peace and connecting your body and mind, you not only help yourself feel better, but you also support the health of your skin. This holistic approach to wellness allows skin to maintain its natural balance and appear healthier and more radiant.
