Social commitment

Yroli Skincare Social commitment Yroli Skincare

Social engagement is something that is very close to our hearts. It is a natural part of Yrolí Skincare's mindset to give back to the world we harvest from. We are therefore involved in a number of different social projects around the world. For us, social engagement means choosing ingredients that are sourced under fair and responsible conditions in partnerships with local farmers who are guaranteed labor and social rights. In this way, we can better ensure that we avoid child labor, underpaid workers, dangerous working conditions and other unethical working conditions.

We contribute where we can. If we have surplus products, we often donate them to socially disadvantaged people, including shelters and the Countess Danner Foundation. We will regularly share how and where we engage socially.

Baobab oil from Baobab Fruit Company, Senegal

Baobab oil is one of the core ingredients in several products from Yrolí. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the baobab tree. Senegal is one of the places where the tree grows and has a significant importance both historically and economically. Yrolí Skincare buys baobab oil from Baobab Fruit Company Senegal.

The story

The story of the Baobab Fruit Company in Senegal dates back to 1999, when Italian food engineer Mauro Ottaviani fell in love with the baobab tree and its many beneficial properties for use in both food and cosmetics during a trip to West Africa. At that time, the many tons of fruit from the tree were only used locally, so Ottaviani's vision was to make them available to the international market. This required a production structure that could meet strict international requirements, both in terms of quality and delivery reliability. Today, the Baobab Fruit Company is a market leader in its field.
