BLUE BEAUTY
Blue Beauty means safe, sustainable and ocean-safe ingredients, as well as recycled, recyclable or refillable packaging. It is the new standard in green skincare. It means quality products that last and have multiple uses, so that we each use fewer products and leave less cosmetic waste. We find this inspiring, and that is precisely why we would like to share our vision of a more responsible future.
RESPONSIBLE CHOICES
Living up to Blue Beauty requires sharp choices and serious consideration across every stage of the product cycle. Therefore, we have made a number of choices to meet Blue Beauty criteria across; ingredients, production, packaging, shipping, use and consumption, disposal and social commitment.
Ingredients
When formulating our products, we choose wild-harvested, organic, and natural ingredients. We are committed to avoiding ingredients from vulnerable habitats. And we only choose synthetics when it is more ethical, environmentally friendly, or safe. We seek to avoid any ingredient that accumulates in the environment or does not degrade. Read more here
Ingredient sourcing is extremely important when it comes to ocean safety. To be Blue Beauty, we choose ingredients that do not disrupt the optimal functioning of our natural environment. We are very keen on ensuring that our ingredients are readily biodegradable, so they can return into the natural cycle. That is why there are certain ingredients that we have chosen to avoid completely. See list here
Water consumption
We choose water-efficient ingredients that don't waste our precious natural resources. For example, the microalgae we have chosen are produced in Italy with an industrial photo-bioreactor system and a sustainable energy process. See more here
Certifications
For us, making certified skincare is an extremely important choice. To ensure both traceability and credibility, we are Ecocert Cosmos, AllergyCertified and Vegan certified. This means, for example, that our users can trust that our products are genuinely organic and that we have an incredibly high organic content. Read more about our certifications here
Packaging
We use recycled and recyclable materials that are produced in Europe. We take the circular principle as our starting point and choose packaging that has its own circular cycle and therefore does not become waste in the natural environment. We have omitted the outer packaging to reduce packaging consumption. See more here
Application
Our entire thinking is based on developing a focused range of high-quality, effective products without unnecessary fillers, where you get healthy and beautiful skin with few products and simple routines. Quality and effect come first. The best skincare is gentle care, where you use few but effective products. It is also about seeing things in the big picture: Fewer products means less production, less production means less transport and so on. Read more here
Danish production
Our products are produced in Denmark in a highly specialized production laboratory that works specifically with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It is an Ecocert Cosmos approved production laboratory, IFS HPC 2 certified and certified according to the RSPO standard, and has a strong team of chemical engineers, medicinal chemists and microbiologists. The natural environment
We choose to use ingredients that do not disrupt our natural environment, oceans and corals. We want to avoid microplastics, silicones, Teflon, oxybenzone and other marine-hazardous ingredients and chemicals. Read more here

Social commitment
Social engagement is very important to us. It is a natural part of Yrolí's mindset to give back to the world we harvest from. We are therefore involved in a number of different social projects around the world.
For us, being socially engaged means choosing ingredients that are sourced under fair and responsible conditions in partnerships with local farmers who are guaranteed labor and social rights.
